Paths of Remembrance

[6] The authentic place
The building, which was used as the concentration sub-camp, still stands today – which is, as historians remark, in itself a very unusual occurrence. It was often described, amongst other non concrete names as "a hanger in the south west part of the airfield", "one of the airfield’s hangers". But the place was non the less a concrete place of suffering and death therefore, the effort to give the place a name and the research to find out if a historic name lay buried. Two sources use the name "Hanger 13". Bejamin Gelhorn uses "Hanger 13" more than once in an interview now in the Filderstadt Town Archives and also it appeared on a sign attached to the building.
