Deggendorf Polytechnic

[3] Greek philosophical knowledge is still apt for our modern science and is the foundation of our culture and education. This philosophy is also adopted by the Polytechnic architecture. In the campus, the "centre around which the grounds are organised", a work will be created placed in a, at the first glance easy to miss – "a to discover" –, 4 meter deep well.
The starting point of the work is the differing conceptions and impressions of NUMBERS in the antique and modern philosophy.

The motifs of the 4 printed glass plates laying one on top of the other:

Pythagoras for the meaning of everything, the arc, that was a number.
The "holy triangle" in which Pythagoras combined the numbers, 1, 2, 3, and 4, into a visual impression.
A segment of the circuit board diagram of a computer part.
A binary memory system.
