Fertigstellung des “Lebensbuches” für Maria Herzenberger-Roche

Im Juli konnten wir das “Lebensbuch” mit der Montage im Stadtmuseum Ingolstadt fertigstellen, entsprechend der 10. Stele im Luitpoldpark Ingolstadt. Im August wurde es offiziell übergeben.

“Ich freue mich sehr, dass nunmehr auch das ‘Lebensbuch’ zusammen mit der Abbildung von Frau Herzenberger-Roche als Vertreterin der Sinti und Roma im Museum installiert werden konnte.
Für das “Lebensbuch” wurden die derzeit verfügbaren Dokumente aus verschiedenen Archiven zusammengetragen. Ergänzt werden sie durch eine Lebensbeschreibung, die das individuelle Schicksal mit den Ereignissen der Zeit verknüpft.
Es bleiben viele offene Fragen und leere Seiten, aber es ermöglicht in der individuellen Nachzeichnung die Erkenntnis über das unmenschliche Verfolgungs- und Tötungssystem des Nationalsozialismus.”

Completion of “the Book of Life” for Maria Herzenberger-Roche

In July we were able to complete “the Book of Life” with its installation in the Ingolstadt City Museum, corresponding to the 10th stele in the Luitpoldpark Ingolstadt. In August it was officially handed over.

“I am very pleased that now also the ‘Book of Life’ has now been installed in the museum together with the picture of Mrs. Herzenberger-Roche as representative of the Sinti and Roma.
For the ‘Book of Life’, the documents currently available were collected from various archives. They are supplemented by a biography that links the individual fate with the events of the time.
Many unanswered questions and blank pages remain, but in the individual tracing, it enables the insight into the inhuman persecution and killing system of National Socialism.”
