In der Videoarbeit “sky diving” tauchen wir in den Anblick eines bewegten Himmels geradezu ein. “Was zunächst in seinen präzisen Abmessungen wie ein am Boden liegender Bildschirm wirkt, ist die Projektion einer bewegten Himmelsfläche auf Sand. Dadurch verkehrt sich unsere Perspektive; wo wir normalerweise nach oben in den Himmel schauen, blicken wir nun nach unten, wie auf die ruhige Fläche eines Teiches, in der sich die ziehenden Wolken spiegeln. Das Himmelsgewölbe scheint für einen Augenblick auf die Erde gestürzt, und auch wenn wir wissen, dass dies nicht der Fall sein kann, hält uns dieser Anblick in Bann und irritiert sacht und nachhallend unsere Gewissheiten.”

In the video work “sky-diving,” we are immersed in the sight of a moving sky. What initially acts in its precise dimensions like a screen lying on the ground is the projection of a moving sky surface onto sand. This makes our perspective wrong; where we usually look up into the sky, we now look down, as if at the quiet area of a pond in which the dragging clouds are reflected. The vault of heaven seems to have fallen to earth for a moment, and even if we know that this cannot be the case, this sight keeps us in spell and irritates our certainties.
